Engelheim Vineyards

Engelheim Vineyards focuses on growing outstanding grapes to produce the highest quality of wines. We also hope to honor the original residents of Engelheim, the Cherokee Nation. The owners, Gary and Jan Engel and their family, decided to purchase the land that is now known as Engelheim (German for “Angel Home”) in 2007. After Colonel Engel retired from the Army in 2004 and upon his return from Iraq and Kuwait, they decided to live their dream of living in the North Georgia Mountains to grow the finest quality grapes. The Engel family planted their first vines in 2009 and harvested their first vintage in 2011; Engelheim Vineyards has been going strong ever since.

Crane Creek Vineyards

At Crane Creek Vineyards, we like to think that wines made from our grapes are an expression of our unique area. More than 20 acres acres of vines are planted in a variety of grapes, including the European varieties of Gruner Veltliner and Cabernet Franc. We also grow many French American hybrid varieties of Chambourcin, Vidal Blanc, Seyval Blanc and Villard Noir along with the modern hybrids Chardonel and Marquette. The native American varieties Norton and Catawba round out our unique varietal collection.

Our goal at Crane Creek Vineyards is to grow the finest regional wine grapes possible. We then craft these fruits of our passion into the finest possible wine. We love what we do and enjoy sharing our passion.

Currahee Vineyards

In 2008 Marvin Dunson began to think about using the family farm to produce wines. The family farm, at the base of beautiful Currahee Mountain, had once been an apple orchard owned by Marvin's parents. By 2009 planting had begun that would ultimately lead to award winning wines. Marvin's daughter, Ashley, was very instrumental in getting it all started.

The first wine that Marvin produced was Sweet Cheryl, a sweet red muscadine wine, in memory of his wife who died of cancer before ever seeing the vineyards and winery. Our portfolio has now grown to over 12 wines, three of which have won Indy International Wine Competition medals—Ole Blue, Blanc du Bois, and 3 Mile White.

Boutier Winery

Boutier Vineyards is situated in the temperate Piedmont Region of Georgia. The long growing season and constant breezes help keep fruit and foliage dry and encourage rich, ripe fruit and healthy vines. The nearly 32 acres are planted in Vinifera and French American grape varietals, with our oldest vines at about 15 years of age. The current crop includes Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Viognier, Syrah, Corot Noir and Cynthiana and will be expanded to include Blanc du Bois and Lenoir.

Paulk Vineyards

Six generations of the Paulk family have farmed this land, from traditional row crops (cotton, peanuts, soybeans, etc.) to a variety of fruits, including the mighty muscadine, which was first planted in 1970. The Paulk family has established a legacy in the muscadine industry, growing from that first vine to over 600 acres of muscadines and scuppernongs harvested for fresh produce sales, as well as processing into juices, jellies, supplements, and wine.
